SobekCM allows users to discover online resources via semantic and full-text searches, as well as a variety of different browse mechanisms. For each digital resource in the repository there are a plethora of display options, which may be selected by an appropriately authenticated use.

The Indiana University Libraries, in partnership with Northwestern University Library, recently received a $947,963 grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to create a freely available open source software system to enable academic libraries and archives to easily provide online access to their video and audio collections.

Masterkey: Drupal (MkDru) is an open source module for the Drupal CMS that embeds a fully themable metasearch interface. It can perform queries against one or more Z39.50, SRU/SRW and SOLR targets via Pazpar2, our likewise open search daemon. More sophisticated target management and other functionality can be obtained through integration with the MasterKey platform.

Metaproxy is a proxy front end server that presents a single Z39.50/SRW/SRU front end to multiple back end database servers. It can also work in conjunction with Index Data's library of gateways to access non-standard database servers.

Kochief is a discovery interface for local and remote collections. Records are indexed in Solr and presented with the Django web framework. Tools are in development for the management of a local catalog.

A Blacklight plugin for managing and creating collections and digital exhibits of content exposed through Blacklight and Solr. It supports creating multiple collections quickly while each can focus on a subset or all content within a Solr database. Within each collection you can add multiple exhibits.

GIS framework based on standard open-source tools like SOLR, Postgres (and especially it's ability to handle complex polygon queries) and OpenLayers (JS library to load, display and render maps from multiple sources on web pages). Can be used to create a dynamic interface for browsing and searching their digital collection geographically.
