Next-L Enju is a open source ILS developed by Project Next-L, a librarian community in Japan. It has following components;

  • Cataloging
  • Patron management
  • Circulation
  • OAI-PMH provider
  • Reference management
  • Import and export bibliographic records (CSV/XML)

Almost all components have RESTful Web API.

E-Matrix is the locally developed and hosted serial and electronic resource management system in use at the NCSU Libraries. This tool acknowledges that the issues associated with electronic resources mirror those that face our serial collection as a whole, regardless of format.

Catmandu provides a suite of Perl modules to ease the import, storage, retrieval, export and transformation of metadata records. Combine Catmandu modules with web application frameworks such as PSGI/Plack, document stores such as MongoDB and full text indexes as Solr to create a rapid development environment for digital library services such as institutional repositories and search engines.

Vireo is a turnkey Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) Management System addressing all steps of the ETD process, from submission to publication to preservation. Vireo provides students the ability to submit their digital theses and dissertations via a simple online interface. Graduate offices can use Vireo to manage the ETD submission and approval process.

libdwt is a cross-platform discrete wavelet transform library implemented in C language. The library implements fast wavelet transform algorithm using lifting scheme. Cohen-Daubechies-Feauveau wavelets with 2 and 4 vanishing moments were used.

FromThePage is free software that allows volunteers to transcribe handwritten documents on-line. It's easy to index and annotate subjects within a text using a simple, wiki-like mark-up. Users can discuss difficult writing or obscure words within a page to refine their transcription. The resulting text is hosted on the web, making documents easy to read and search.

T‑PEN is a web-based tool for working with images of manuscripts. Users attach transcription data (new or uploaded) to the actual lines of the original manuscript in a simple, flexible interface.

EULfedora is a Python module that provides utilities, API wrappers, and classes for interacting with the Fedora-Commons Repository (versions
3.4.x and 3.5) in a pythonic, object-oriented way, with optional Django integration.

This is a C# library which contains classes for working in memory with MARC records ( http://www.loc.gov/marc/ ). This allows records to be read from MarcXML and Marc21 formats. Once in memory any field or subfield can be edited, added, or deleted. Then the record can be queried or saved again in either a MarcXML or Marc21 file format.
