Library Co-op are a team of experienced library, archive and web project managers who specialise in custom-made solutions based on Open Source Software. We are not tied to a single package; instead, we analyse an organisation's current and future needs, and develop a strategy. This might be a single package, such as a Library Management System or an e-repository, but chances are we'll recommend a combination of several applications. Jointly with our software development partners at software.coop, we can then implement this solution on the client's or our server, configure it, migrate existing data or even create an electronic catalogue from scratch, train the staff users, and provide support. It is always up to the client to decide which services they would like to outsource to us, and which ones they wish to keep in-house.

We particularly enjoy working with clients whose needs can't be met with the 'mainstream' proprietary packages. And we are happy to help you steer through the muddy waters of a re-organisation of your service. We are passionate about libraries, archives, museums, about education and research in general. And we enjoy the collaborative approach that Open Source Software and our own co-operative structure allow us!
